James brings his academic leadership skills and extensive industry experience in merchandising, product development, international business and fabric research and development to Parsons School of Design, NEW YORK. His current passion for eco innovative design allows him to travel extensively to source innovative fabrics and research new raw materials technologies and manufacturing processes. He shares his knowledge and expertise with fashion design and merchandising students by taking innovative curricular approaches to teaching by building a variety of onsite, online, and hybrid learning environments that are unique and challenging.
In 2015 he partnered with Giusy Bettoni, CEO, Founder C.L.A.S.S. www.classecohub.org the Milan based eco-smart platform to create a new division, C.L.A.S.S. Education. The goal is to share knowledge,and present smart eco-solutions that offer significant reductions in water, CO2 and energy to empower like-minded fashion professionals and motivate them to transform their current business model and activate change. As an experienced educator James creates programs that introduces fashion professionals to a new generation of textile technologies and training that include onsite textile supply chain assessment, hands-on material analysis, luxury fashion tours, and interactive Eco-Fashion workshops.
