With an extensive fashion career in merchandising, sourcing, international business, and product research and development James has acquired a depth of valuable knowledge and hands-on fashion experience. 

 In 2015, along with Giusy Bettoni, C.L.A.S.S. CEO, James launched C.L.A.S.S. Education a new division that infuses smart innovation as the new standard for fashion. He played an integral role in creating interactive workshops that introduce professionals, educators, and emerging fashion talents to a new generation of technologies that add brand value.

As C.L.A.S.S. Education Co-Founder, he created the C.L.A.S.S. Education Smart Kit, an easy-to-use educational resource containing innovative smart materials to uphold a university's sustainability initiatives. The Smart Kit supported by sustainable credentials offer significant reductions in water, CO2, and energy and empower like-minded fashion professionals to transform their current business model to activate change.

 His knowledge and strategic thinking have enabled him to further succeed in his fashion career as a professor educating graduate and undergraduate fashion business and design talents at some of the world’s prestigious fashion universities.

 In 2021, he collaborated with Arts Thread London to develop and lead an international design competition to showcase and educate emerging designers to use their intellectual capacity to integrate sustainability into their design process. Using Instagram LIVE, together with Arts Thread, James was able to coordinate a lineup of international expert speakers to support the initiative reaching 900 design schools in 125 countries.
